ExpertsConnect EP. 1: How does light affect sleep and vitality?

On this episode of ExpertsConnect, we had a conversation with Dr. Laura Huiberts from the Eindhoven University of Technology. Dr. Huiberts specialises in the psychophysiological effects of light exposure and is currently investigating, if and how light and behavioural interventions can improve daily light exposure patterns, and by that, improve health and wellbeing.

Our discussion points included the answers to the following questions.

  1. How does light affect sleep quality?
  2. What are the potential consequences of disrupted light exposure patterns?
  3. What research projects is Dr. Huiberts working on and what are her latest findings especially as it relates to the Covid-19 situation?
  4. What are Dr. Huiberts tips and tricks on how we can improve our sleep and daytime vitality (and performance) by means of light exposure patterns?
