The United States presidential election 2020, is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, 2020. In this 59th quadrennial presidential election, many issues are at stake, namely health care, climate change, and trade and economy.

In this episode of ExpertsConnect, we had a conversation concerning the Key Issues at Stake in the US Presidential  Election with Claudia Clark (MSW), Political Activist, Historian, and Author of My Partner, My Friend.

Our discussion topics were centered around the following topics.

  1. What's at stake with Amy Coney Barrett's political ascension as the newest Supreme Court justice e.g., the Second Amendment and the Affordable Care Act.
  2. Ms. Clarks’ assessment of the relationship between President Trump and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and how it affected transatlantic unity. Please refer to this article for more information on the need to repair diplomatic relations with US allies following the elections.
